David Walters

David's extensive knowledge and understanding of the international hotel industry results from the senior Human Resource positions he has held over the last 25 years. Positions held include Personnel Director – International Hotels with Grand Metropolitan, HR Director, Forum Hotels International and VP HR for InterContinental Hotels – Europe/ Middle East.

Having successfully developed his own HR Consultancy David then re-joined InterContinental as Director of Resourcing. In this role he was responsible for recruitment and management development on a worldwide basis for 120 Hotels in 75 countries. He was then appointed VP HR, Europe, Middle East and Africa and following the sale of the company to Bass plc his responsibilities extended to the IC, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express brands within IHG’s European portfolio. Upon leaving IHG David successfully launched and developed an international executive search business.

Andrew Price

Andrew’s career in the international hotel sector includes roles at Director/VP level in corporate HR, spanning Australia, Asia, Europe, Middle East and North America.

Following operational to corporate HR positions with GrandMet and divisional operations management, he held the roles of Regional HRD, Corporate Director of Learning & Development and VP HR Asia Pacific with InterContinental Hotels. Andrew then became HRD with Exclusive Hotels of the World for their successful turnaround. Subsequently he developed a consultancy with clients across hotels, leisure, ICT, pharma, professional & financial services, FMCG and investment banking in Australia and Asia. He is a well known specialist recruiter to Australian and global blue-chip companies. He has a particular interest in the challenge of 'difficult to fulfil' assignments and demanding business contexts.

Jim Manley

Jim’s senior level HR experience in the hotel industry spans over 25 years with Intercontinental Hotels group. During his career Jim was directly responsible for the HR function in greater then 250 owned or managed hotels crossing 7 brands and multiple countries throughout the Americas. More recently, Jim created and led IHG’s Americas Talent Acquisition group supporting staffing for 1,400 corporate and 15,000 hotel staff in North and South America. In his roles, Jim was often involved in the internal and external identification and assessment of senior management talent for the organization.

Jim holds a masters degree from Cornell’s School of Hotel Management.
